Your McFoodies Food Technologist, who can work either on-site or off-site, carrying out bench scale trials with commercially available ingredients.
The McFoodies Food Technologist will involve you in all the decision making stages of your Product Development project and will present you with regular progress updates.
If you require the Food Technologist to assist with manufacturing trials in your factory or with a contract manufacturer, they are able to do this.
Fees
Product and Process Development projects: $105 + GST per hour
The cost of your project will depend on the complexity of the product. For example, if your project is a product range extension and you have a very good idea of the ingredients you want to use, then the total cost of your project may only be around $500. If your project is more complex, the cost will be higher. As a rough guide, a feasibility study, initial product samples and recommendations for further work will cost around $1000.
McFoodies will prepare a project estimate based on parameters set by you. These usually include:
• A description of the finished product (samples of similar products are useful)
• Any special features the finished product will have, e.g. low fat, organic, preservative free etc
• Ingredient limitations and a maximum ingredient cost.
• Potential sales volumes.
• Packaging requirements.
• Production facilities.
